A salesperson, is it a s*** sales job?

No. This isn’t your typical cold-calling selling job; no way. You’ll only ever be talking to people who have already expressed an interest in using Linked Hacker’s services. They book meetings with you — you turn up, work some magic and close the deal. Easy peasy, right?

What will I be selling though?

We’re a marketing agency that primarily focuses on cold email and lead generation. You’d be pitching a service that is well-proven to generate results for clients, speaking to different people from around the world.

Okay, you’ve peaked my interest. Tell me about where I’ll be working.

Well, Linked Hacker is based in Cornwall — that’s right, we are actually based in the best part of the UK too. We work from a bright spacious office in the heart of Newquay. This office also functions as a co-working space full of business professionals, great coffee, and a terrace with unrivaled sea views. Given the space used to be an old pub, we also have a pool table, darts board, beer on draught, and complimentary surfboard storage for those lunchtime surfs. What more could you want?

Okay so the job’s great, the office sounds dreamy, what about the company?

Linked Hacker is a team of 7 currently. Being 5 years old as a company, we have grown slowly over the years and now we are a well-oiled machine, ready for hypergrowth. We’re a friendly bunch and close-knit, so we’d expect you to fit into a small team. Your voice will always be heard and you’ll be an important part of Linked Hacker’s plans for growth moving forward.

Right. The jobs great, the office sounds dreamy, the company sounds wonderful, what else should I know?

Well, here are some things that are worth knowing:

• 25k base salary plus commission (realistic earnings of between 30–35k a year).
• Travel pot bonus that is used to fund team holidays (previous locations include Vegas, skiing, sail Croatia).
• Autonomy and the ability to work remotely occasionally.
• A company culture that values its employees immensely. Only 1 person has left Linked Hacker in its history.

Although experience is valued, we very much believe that anyone should be able to apply to our roles. If you have the right attitude and a strong work ethic, that’s all you need.
